Setting Up Dial-Up for IMAC/Macintosh (Most Versions)
The following steps will work if you have 'Remote Access' installed.

  1. Click to open your apple menu.
  2. Find Control Panel, then click on 'Remote Access'.
  3. Select 'Registered User'.
  4. Enter your username and password.
  5. Enter the access number you are going to be dialing.
  6. Click connect.
  7. Once connected, open your internet browser such as Netscape, or Microsoft Explorer. You should be able to browse the internet.

To dial-up automatically...

  1. Click to open your apple menu.
  2. Find Control Panel, then click on 'Remote Access'.
  3. Click 'Options'.
  4. Click on the 'Protocol' tab.
  5. Click on the check box 'Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications.' so that it is checked.
  6. Click 'OK'.
